What is a Home Care Package?

A Home Care Package is a government-funded program providing care and services to help aged Australians live independently at home. Packages range from Level 1 (basic care needs) to Level 4 (high-level care needs). An aged care assessment will determine the most suitable level for you.

How Do I Get a Home Care Package?

You’ll need an assessment from an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). We can assist you with the referral process or you can contact My Aged Care at 1800 200 422.

What Happens After I Receive a Referral Code?

Once you receive confirmation and your referral code, contact us to begin accessing subsidized services under your Home Care Package.

Can the Government Subsidy Be Paid Directly to Me?

No, government subsidies are paid to your selected Home Care Provider. We manage these funds on your behalf to ensure smooth service delivery.

How Can I Switch Providers to Caring Support @ Home?

To switch providers:

  1. Notify your current provider in writing and confirm a cessation date.
  2. Contact My Aged Care to reactivate your referral code.
  3. Share your referral code with us, and we’ll take care of the rest!
